You don't have to spend extra money because this camera is compatible with your car's existing entertainment system.

Ambulances in Victoria Now Using a Reversing Camera

It seems that everyday car owners in Australia are not the only ones who are realising the value of having a reversing camera in their respective vehicles. Recent reports revealed that the paramedics in the state of Victoria are now equipping ambulances with camera technology. This is a clear indication that the use of such a life-saving gadget is now becoming widely accepted and popular in the country.

According to Ambulance Victoria, rear view cameras have already been installed in about 50 new ambulances across the state. This program is part of efforts to provide paramedics who are driving ambulances with a clearer view of the rear cabin. It was finally launched after testing the system in five ambulances in September last year. "This safety initiative has been undertaken at no additional cost following an extensive trial," said Elizabeth Punton, the organisation's operational logistics manager.

With the new reversing camera kits, Ambulance Victoria revealed that it was able to provide a much safer workplace for its paramedics.  It was also reported that the initiative is possibly the first time such a technology has been used to provide ambulance drivers with the opportunity to see the rear ambulance compartment when driving.

Paramedics were truly delighted with the development. Thanks to the camera technology, they can now breathe a sigh of relief because it will be much easier for them to manoeuvre their vehicles and help save people's lives. "Improved vision of the rear compartment of ambulances will improve security and aid communication between paramedics when patients are being treated and transported," added Punton.

With paramedics in Victoria recognising the value of installing rear view cameras in emergency vehicles such as ambulances, everyday car owners can certainly benefit from following their example. With the added safety provided by these electronic devices, it will definitely do you well to fit one to your car. Not only can it make getting in and out of tight parking spaces a no-brainer, it can help you avoid accidents as well.

So check out your favourite electronics and car accessories store and start looking for a reverse camera that would fit your vehicle. For a very small fraction of the cost of buying a new car, you can get your hands on a very useful electronic device that can help you save thousands of dollars and prevent trips to the emergency room in the future. So what are you waiting for? If you don't want to be a passenger of the Victorian ambulances mentioned above, it is certainly an excellent idea to install a camera in your vehicle.

The Truth about Having a Reverse Camera

How important is having a reverse camera? Well, if you are driving a vehicle that is wide and heavy, like a truck, caravan, bus, or a 4X4, this device is indeed a must-have. As you may know, such vehicles have many blind spots. And because they are big and hard to manoeuvre, backing them up without hitting anything along the way can be particularly challenging.

But with a reversing camera, putting such large vehicles on reverse is a much safer and hassle-free experience. Because the device helps you better see the objects behind your vehicle, you can easily avoid them and go on your merry way, scot-free. Not only the camera helps you save a great deal of time, you can also avoid hurting pedestrians and getting into accidents.

This car accessory works not just for those who drive caravans, trucks, or buses. Having them is also recommended even if you own a sedan or a small SUV. A reverse camera helps make parallel parking a piece of cake, especially for inexperienced drivers. It also allows you to prevent those nasty dents and scratches on your car's paintjob when parking in tight spaces. Indeed, this device is a huge life-saver. Aside from ensuring your and your car's safety, it also helps you avoid unnecessary car repairs and expenses.

Meanwhile, a reversing camera is a great add-on to the entertainment or GPS navigation system installed in your car. After all, you can save a great deal of money since you don't have to buy a separate monitor for the CMOS reversing camera. If the monitor of your car entertainment or GPS system has an extra AV input slot, all you have to do is connect the camera's cable, place the camera at the back of your car, and you're all set and good to go.

And if the reverse camera comes with a 4PIN cable, you don't have to purchase another power cable and connect the device to your car's power source. It is because the monitor can power up the camera by itself.  When your car's transmission is put on reverse, the camera will automatically switch on and then you'll see what's behind your vehicle through the monitor of your car's entertainment or navigation system. How cool is that?

So how important is having a reverse camera? It is very, very important. Beginners and experienced drivers alike can greatly benefit from this electronic device. So if you're considering buying a new car accessory, a rear view camera is something you should invest in.

Hurry and equip your vehicles now with these reversing cameras. Contact us and we'll be glad to assist you.
